Well, I have been wanting to learn how to stitch on linen, and Tuesday night, I finally got the chance. A few weeks ago, I was told about a knitting and needlepoint store nearby called The Stitch Niche, Inc, and to say I was excited was an understatement. I have been cross-stitching off and on for about 20 years, and have never stitched on linen. Not sure why, maybe I thought I wouldn't be able to learn. Anyway, The Stitch Niche was having a beginning stitch on linen class, and I signed up immediately and to my surprise, it is so easy and I love it. The picture above is what we stitched on in class and was stitched and finished by the instructor. You can find the free pattern at http://www.prairieschooler.com/free.htm. I will post a picture of my finished project sometime this weekend. I am so excited about all the possibilites of great looking projects now that I have learned how to Stitch On Linen!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

What a cute project! Don't you love linen?!
It was really fun to stitch on linen. Now I don't want to stitch on anything else. I plan on making the project into a scissor fob, if I can figure out how. Thanks for the comment and I hope you will come back and visit when you have time.
